The Klingenberg-based family business WIKA has recently acquired a majority stake in Asystom SAS, a French specialist in industrial smart monitoring and predictive maintenance solutions. The Lower Franconian measurement technology manufacturer and IIoT solution provider has held a stake in Asystom since 2024. As the majority shareholder, it now wants to play an even more active role in shaping the strategic direction of the company. The global network of WIKA branches is intended to strengthen the sales and service – for example, for installation – of Asystom solutions. In addition, WIKA will use its resources in research and development to work with Asystom to continuously develop its portfolio.

Asystom develops advanced sensors and intelligent solutions for remote monitoring of industrial plants. The solutions combine embedded technologies for processing acoustic and vibration data with AI-driven analysis and diagnostic tools to continuously monitor machine conditions. Multisensor devices collect the measured values, while the IIoT software analyses the data and detects deviations using machine learning. This enables companies in the process and manufacturing industries to identify anomalies at an early stage and maintain their equipment in a targeted manner. Users avoid costly downtime and can also make their maintenance processes significantly more efficient.

‘WIKA sees itself as a driver for the development of pioneering IIoT technologies,’ says Thomas Hasenoehrl, Vice President IIoT Systems & Solutions at WIKA. ‘The majority stake in Asystom is another strategic milestone in this regard. The IIoT offers enormous optimisation potential for industry, particularly in the area of predictive maintenance. With its innovative, scalable solution, Asystom is an ideal addition to our partner network.’

Pierre Naccache, CEO of Asystom, adds: "Industry needs future-proof solutions. With WIKA, we offer companies around the globe a complete, integrable and scalable approach that brings together sensors, connectivity, software and services – and meets short-, medium- and long-term customer needs. Our common goal goes beyond predictive maintenance: we are creating an open, sustainable foundation for capturing and processing sensor data and transforming it into added value."
