"Through the ctrlX World partner network, we provide solutions as apps that enable our customers to better manage complex tasks in the automation environment. On the hardware side, this is supported by the high-performance and communication-capable industrial controller ctrlX CORE. Thanks to its open and flexible architecture, it is designed to meet today's and tomorrow's requirements in the modern factory," explains Hans Michael Krause, Product Manager ctrlX World at Bosch Rexroth AG.

With ctrlX AUTOMATION, Ethernet communication to the factory level is possible as standard. Bosch Rexroth is working with Nokia to connect the automation system to private and factory-wide 5G campus networks, allowing machines and automated guided vehicles to communicate directly with each other via 5G.

The specialist for sensor technology, ifm electronic GmbH, supports the communication of machines in the smart factory. The IO-Link sensors and masters from ifm can be fully integrated into ctrlX AUTOMATION. They simplify installation, for example. The ifm software is installed on the same engineering PC as ctrlX WORKS, the software and engineering toolbox from Bosch Rexroth.

WAGO Kontakttechnik GmbH & Co. KG, a supplier of connection and automation technology as well as interface electronics, is also a new partner of ctrlX World. The company complements the ctrlX I/O portfolio with tested I/O systems both in the control cabinet and in machine-oriented applications.
