No label – but still making an entrance on the red carpet
New digital container marking process offering potential savings of many tons of label waste per year nominated for the HERMES AWARD

Along with the four other companies nominated this year, KHS is taking its place on the red carpet leading to the exciting presentation of the Hermes Award at HANNOVER MESSE. The company’s KHS-INNOPRINT PET product – a process for digital container labeling – impressed the jury.
KHS-INNOPRINT PET enables printing of PET beverage bottles directly in the filling plant for the first time, thanks to innovative ink-jet technology. This can significantly increase productivity. In addition, the KHS-INNOPRINT PET is flexible enough to work for small batch and large batch production. The new technology eliminates the need for costly paper or plastic film labeling systems, saving many tons of label waste per year as well as supporting industrial individualization of beverage products. Naturally, the ink used is food-safe and nearly odor-free, and although it adheres securely to the container, it can be removed during bottle recycling.
