Horizon GmbH, based in Quickborn, has been driving the shift in print finishing from standalone solutions to integrated inline systems and the increased use of robotics for workflow automation for years. With the launch of the BEAT Robotics brand, the North German company is now consolidating its long-standing experience in print finishing automation and applying this expertise to new application areas. The focus is on intralogistics and cleaning.
“With BEAT Robotics, we make robotics tangible and applicable to specific needs. We want to offer solutions that are not only efficient but also reduce the workload on people, make processes more sustainable, and open up new perspectives. BEAT Robotics is therefore the logical next step in our existing automation strategy,” explains Horizon’s Sales and Marketing Director, Ambjörn Breuer.
In intralogistics, BEAT Robotics focuses on the automation of material flows and processes. In cooperation with renowned robot manufacturers, the company offers solutions designed to relieve machine operators of repetitive, physically demanding tasks and to make processes as efficient as possible. The portfolio ranges from systems for feeding book blocks into adhesive binders or palletizing solutions to driverless transport systems, such as AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) or AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots), which transport the material to the next processing step. In this regard, BEAT Robotics relies primarily on heavy-duty robots from Keenon, Hikrobot, and iKitbot. The portfolio will grow gradually, enabling the implementation of projects of all sizes in the future—from small-scale to large industrial clients, even beyond the current core markets.
The cleaning sector forms the second pillar of the business: In collaboration with Keenon and iKitbot at present, and with additional manufacturers in the future, BEAT Robotics offers intelligent cleaning systems for a wide variety of environments—from small office spaces to large industrial halls. A steadily growing dealer network is intended to ensure that these solutions are available beyond the boundaries of the printing industry.
