“Challenging us helps us to progress. It is ATR's goal to realize products and services of excellent quality and maximum benefit. The lasting trust, demands and satisfaction of our customers are the decisive quality benchmarks.” It is with this guiding principle in mind that Krefeld-based ATR Industrie-Elektronik GmbH, part of the Siempelkamp Group, develops and produces control cabinets, switchgear and control systems.
It can be assumed that the new short-circuit-proof power optocoupler OT14 was also developed with this in mind. According to ATR, it is suitable for contactless switching of valves, brakes, DC contactors and other loads up to five amps DC. For larger loads, the output current can be multiplied by connecting outputs in parallel. ATR also offers an optional three-volt input for the OT14. This means that signals from small computers such as the Raspberry Pi can now also be processed. The OT14 optocoupler also has a mounted end plate, but this can be removed. This is how the slimmest design of 6.2 millimeters is achieved. There is also a bridging option to neighboring modules on the upper connection level.
