Automation using artificial intelligence and machine learning is a science in its own right - and one that hardly anyone in the company understands. There is currently a widespread problem that human resources can hardly keep up with the technological development of Industry 4.0. Many employees are overwhelmed by the new possibilities, which in turn means that user companies are not yet able to exploit the potential of the wealth of new data. A lack of awareness of security issues resulting from networked manufacturing is particularly critical. Overall, there is a great need for personal training and learning offers tailored to modern industry.

The Munich startup University4Industry (U4I) fills precisely this gap. Since its founding in 2015, it has already been offering "over 150 hours of online learning content on all relevant digitization topics in an appealing format," according to Dr. Wolfgang Huhn . In doing so, the young company cooperates with 50 experts from industry, the VDMA and the Fraunhofer Society. The Munich-based company's unique selling proposition is that a company's different employees are provided with personalized learning materials tailored to their respective needs. University4Industry will also be presenting its learning modules at the Hannover Messe trade fair: at the joint Industrial Security booth (D02) in Hall 6.
