Platform work is increasing continuously
The platform economy is only a very small segment of the job market in Germany but is growing steadily. Despite its poor reputation, it could open up new opportunities, according to a study by the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA).

But industry is focusing not only on the labor market. Crowd-working can be effective in this context, especially since many sectors are already complaining of a shortage of labor. There are often limits to this in practice, however, because of the specific expertise that is frequently required.
