Poland is undergoing rapid and stable growth. Imports and exports are increasing. The IT sector is booming and the landscape of this scientific country is very attractive. According to Germany Trade and Invest (GTAI), services are Poland’s "export specialty". Whereas Poland’s goods turnover at the end of 2015 recorded a plus of around 9 bn zloty, its annual net profit in the global services trade had already exceeded 50 bn zloty.

According to GTAI, telecommunication and information technology make up a major share of Polish service exports. Thanks to large firms such as Asseco and Comarch, this segment grew over 170 percent within the past five years. Business services are also undergoing dynamic development, including research and development. In 2015, this 4 bn zloty export category was 130 percent greater than in 2010. Major IT companies such as Google, SAP, and Microsoft have research and development centers in the country, which has gained international recognition as an R&D service provider.
