This latest offering from SEW-EURODRIVE adds another high-quality module to its existing didactics portfolio for R, K and S gear unit series. The kit consists of a PSC 521/522-series planetary gear unit that can be assembled as a 2- or 3-stage system, with i=5 for the 2-stage assembly and i=25 for the 3-stage version. A hand crank is fitted via a modified ECH05 flange to demonstrate the gear unit in action. Meanwhile, two acrylic glass ring gears provide a clear view of the sun gear and planet gears inside the unit, which is normally closed off.
