Premiere of SCIIF hosts 39,000 visitors and 500 exhibiting companies
The premiere of the South China International Industry Fair ran 12–15 October 2020 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. The event hosted 39,000 visitors and 500 exhibiting companies, including such well-known names as Connectwell, ELCO, HANS, HIWIN, LAPP, WAGO, and Schmalz. The main display categories were Industrial Automation & Robotics, Digital Factory & Internet of Things, Machine Vision, Metalworking & CNC Machine Tools, and Lasers.

Concurrent events included Laserfair Shenzhen, the CSIG National Visual Inspection Technology Academic Exchange and the LMN World Laser Manufacturing Conference, which brought together optoelectronic experts from China, Germany, Lithuania, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United States.
Visitors represented industry sectors such as 3D printing, aerospace, automotive engineering, construction machinery, electrical engineering, logistics, mechanical and plant engineering, precision manufacturing, optics, packaging, process production, and semiconductors. Roughly 200 corporations – including Foxconn, ZTE, Kyocera, Skyworth, Midea, Huawei, FAW-Volkswagen, and Ricoh – sent buyer delegations.
Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai, the joint subsidiary of Deutsche Messe AG and Fiera Milano, organizes the South China International Industry Fair in cooperation with the Chinese event organizer East Best Shanghai. The next edition runs from 29 June to 1 July 2021 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center.
