Exhibitors & Products

At the stand of U. I. Lapp GmbH, a specialist for integrated solutions and branded products in the field of cable and connection technology, will once again make this clear in 2024: The Stuttgart-based company is the partner for an innovative future in the industry. The company intends to demonstrate the importance of the smooth interaction of all components with a new trade fair exhibit that combines renewable energies, intralogistics and direct current in the factory environment. The 3D landscape on display in Hanover is intended to show visitors at a glance where the strengths lie: Lapp supplies customized connection systems and industry solutions for every project and every challenge, no matter how demanding. "Lapp is everywhere. Countless applications, machines and industries around the world function smoothly thanks to our products and solutions - in line with our company claim 'alive by Lapp'. Once again this year, HANNOVER MESSE is the stage to demonstrate our performance," summarizes Karl Heckl, CSO LA EMEA.

Future Lab and Enabler Stage

The Future Lab, where Lapp will provide insights into innovations, ideas and developments, will also showcase the company's commitment to smart and customer-oriented solutions for the future, in line with this year's trade fair claim "energizing a sustainable future". When it comes to sustainability, Lapp is focusing internally on the ecological footprint of its own products. The Etherline bioP Cat. 5e, with its more sustainable TPU jacket and 43% organic content, is therefore also taking part in the event and is a first step towards a green future.

Future solutions also include Lapp Visual Search, an AI-supported image recognition solution that allows customers to identify a product using a photo and reorder it directly via the online store. A brand new feature here: in line with the One Stop Shop principle, expansion options such as connectors or screw fittings are now offered directly in the tool in addition to the specific product being searched for.

In the think tank, Lapp will also be presenting other topics such as additive manufacturing & rapid prototyping and E-Kanban. Visitors will also have the opportunity to talk to Lapp experts about trending topics and technologies or obtain advice. They will also gain deeper insights in the extensive lecture program on the Lapp Enabler Stage, which will be offered from Monday to Thursday of the trade fair and ranges from expert talks on the cable manufacturer's sustainable products to presentations on the Ölflex Connect harnessing portfolio or Lapp's own Zero CM technology.

Direct current for a sustainable industry

A special focus at the trade fair stand itself this year is the topic of direct current, which is becoming increasingly relevant for a sustainable industry. With increasing automation and the efforts of many companies to reduce their CO2 emissions, innovative energy supply concepts with savings potential will be needed in the future. Lapp is not only a member of the DC Industry and DC Industry 2 projects, but also a co-founder of the Open Direct Current Alliance (ODCA) and a key technology driver with an extensive DC product portfolio. Accordingly, there is a great deal of expertise on the stand from which visitors can benefit.

Solar energy, industrial communication & Ölflex Connect

To support the expansion of renewable energies, Lapp also has innovative solutions and an extensive portfolio for the solar sector. Also not to be missed are the areas of Industrial Communication - which has long been Lapp's hobbyhorse for the automated industry - and Ölflex Connect: the tried-and-tested system solutions enable a more efficient route for production. Whether it's prefabricated single-core cables for stationary systems, servo assemblies for fast applications or highly complex drag chains: Lapp's plug & play solution is designed to save users time.
