In Hanover, the Schaeffler Group is presenting for the first time a solution that is unique on the market: a sensorized shaft gearbox. It provides highly accurate torque signals without requiring additional installation space and without any loss of stiffness in the overall mechanical system.8 May 2022
For more than 75 years, the Franconian Schaeffler Group has stood for pioneering inventions and developments in the fields of motion and mobility. Today, production focuses on precision components and systems for powertrains and chassis as well as rolling and plain bearing solutions. With around 83,000 employees, one of the world's largest family-owned companies generated sales of around 13.9 billion euros in 2021. And with more than 1,800 patent applications, Schaeffler ranked third among Germany's most innovative companies in 2021, according to the DPMA.
At HANNOVER MESSE 2022, the Franconians will be represented as usual with a broad portfolio. Whether direct drives, precision planetary gearboxes, angular contact needle roller bearings or UPRS motors - Schaeffler's exhibits are all innovation turned metal. A very special treat, however, is likely to be the premiere of a fully integrated torque sensor system. This solution, which is unique on the market to date, provides highly accurate torque signals without requiring additional installation space and without any loss of rigidity in the overall mechanical system. Schaeffler employees are already looking forward to presenting the advantages of this concept and its precise application possibilities to all interested trade fair visitors.
