Robot density varies considerably by international comparison . Whereas an average of 10,000 employees are supported by 99 robots in Europe, it’s 84 in America, and only 63 in Asia. Together with South Korea and Singapore, Germany ranks at the top of the most automated countries, with a robot density of 309 units in Germany. But countries that have been lagging behind are slowly catching up. While robot density in Europe is currently growing by 5%, the growth rate in Asia is almost twice as high at 9%. China in particular is experiencing extraordinary development, from 25 units in 2013 to 68 units in 2016.
