At the FachPack trade fair from September 25 to 27 in Nuremberg, the company Profi Label from Gummersbach will present the Cobotix X2155 : a cobot specially designed to label frequently changing products and packaging. The device consists of a robotic arm that is designed to pick up and precisely position a wide variety of product shapes. As usual with cobots, no protective housing is required.

The Cobotix 2155 is suitable for standalone operation as well as for integration into the production line and was designed to meet the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises. It consists of the lightweight cobot UR5, the labeler Ematrix R2105 and the inkjet system IMatrix CodeCreator. The cobot picks the products up and takes them to the labeler, which securely attaches the labels to difficult surfaces using a pneumatic pressure roller. The cobot gripper arm then transfers the product to the InkJet system, which prints on the required codes or numbering. The object can then be moved along to further production stations.

The Cobotix 2155 can use its selection of grippers to label and mark products from multiple sides. According to Profi Label, the different motion sequences can be set up quickly and without much programming effort.
