You won’t find out unless you give it a try. In a brochure, ifaa has compiled good-practice approaches to the successful implementation of digital transformation, which is intended to provide companies, associations and other institutions with ideas for their own path. Compared to a predecessor study in 2015 , the scientists now attest to great progress for the operational stakeholders. “Decision-makers in companies inform themselves on a broad scale, visit model and training factories and develop their own approaches on how to use digitization themselves,” said the ifaa director, Prof. Dr. Sascha Stowasser .
The 60-page free brochure includes digitization measures in work organization, business and working hours, data protection and data security, as well as corporate co-determination. The experiences of the participating companies were used to derive some basic recommendations for shaping the digital transformation. These include, for example, an overall understanding of complex systems, Internet interfaces to the production facilities and strategic integration of Industry 4.0.
However, the authors came to the conclusion that the conditions of each company must be examined individually. Practical examples, however, have the charm that they make problems and their solutions vivid and concrete. For example, the Industry 4.0 platform , the Hanseatic city of Bremen and IHK NRW have summarized best practices for digitization in industry.
