Exhibitors & Products

Research and innovation in a nutshell is the order of business at the new SCIENCE|SQUARE. This event has emerged from the 10 year F&T-ARENA event, a joint project organized by several German states. This year projects from Rheinland-Pfalz, Hessen, Thuringia, Saxony Anhalt, Saxony, Berlin and Brandenburg will take the stage.

SCIENCE|SQUARE co-organizer and moderator Daniel Graffé sees the red space in Hall 2 as a type of "Speakers’ Corner for science". The "latest, state-of-the-art results, products, and services from research and innovation" will presented here.

The projects being spotlighted at SCIENCE|SQUARE include the "Spintronic Technology Platform" (STeP), the winner of the Rheinland-Pfalz 2016 Innovation Award. In this joint project between the Kaiserslautern Technical University and the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, in cooperation with Sensitec, findings from physics research is quickly transformed into hands-on industrial practice. Partners have made advances in the development of magnetic sensors and storage units that are increasingly needed for Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things.

"As a mouthpiece for research and innovation SCIENCE|SQUARE is a convincing marketing instrument for transferring knowledge and technology," says Daniel Graffé regarding this event, which was recently held at CeBIT for the first time. It is supported by MesseArbeitskreis Wissenschaft (MAK), a union of representatives from the German states as well as Austria and Switzerland that are responsible for the trade show exhibitions of their universities. Graffé is the deputy of MAK.
