Seen it yet? The key to Industry 4.0!
As a leading supplier of innovative machine vision technologies, MVTec Software GmbH is at HANNOVER MESSE 2016 to show how industrial image processing is becoming a key technology for efficient and reliable Industry 4.0 and smart factory processes.

It's hard to imagine how the fourth industrial revolution could ever take place without the important advances that have been made in industrial image processing (IIP). As "the eye of production", IIP ensures that interaction between man and machine runs smoothly and that processes in Industry 4.0 and smart factory scenarios are efficient. What's more, when it comes to flexibly adapting production processes and producing small batch sizes efficiently, simple solutions for creating machine vision applications are becoming increasingly important. Thanks to interactive demos and applications in automated production environments, MVTec is demonstrating how the new versions of its standard software products HALCON and MERLIC support IIP.
As a comprehensive standard software package for machine vision with integrated development environment (IDE), HALCON is used around the world for industrial and medical image processing and analysis. HALCON 12.0.2, the version on show in Hannover, offers new and improved features such as much more robust barcode identification.
MERLIC, the second standard software package from MVTec, is image processing software that can be used to compile all-in-one solutions quickly, without having to write a single line of code. Thanks to an image-centered user interface and intuitive operating concepts such as "easyTouch", MERLIC supports an efficient and thus time- and cost-saving workflow. Besides being more robust and faster, the new version on show at the fair has a completely new feature in the MERLIC Engine. This enables users to create applications with the intuitive MERLIC backend and then load, parameterize and execute them directly in their C++ or C# framework.
