Sensor module improves WITTENSTEIN gearboxes
The Baden-Württemberg company will be premiering gearboxes featuring an integrated sensor module at HANNOVER MESSE in April. This integrated sensor module facilitates preventative maintenance, among other things.

The new generation of gearbox from WITTENSTEIN alpha is equipped with a sensor module called cynapse , allowing data on current temperature, vibration behavior, operating hours, and mounting position to be recorded and communicated via an IO link interface and IO link master. This data can be analyzed using applications for condition monitoring or predictive maintenance, for instance, to improve the availability and productivity of processes and equipment.
The sensor module will initially be available for gearboxes in the alpha Premium Line and gradually extended to all WITTENSTEIN alpha series. The new models are identical to the existing series models in terms of design, size, and contour, enabling seamless integration in existing drive solutions.
