Sensors bring movement into the digital factory
Who, what, when, where, and how? Data on location, status, and movement form the basis for the Industrial IoT. With a sensor solution from Kinexon, they can be recorded and analyzed in real time.

The Munich startup Kinexon wants to realize the digital factory with Kinexon ONE . The solution of sensors and software can be used in production and intralogistics and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The sensors locate objects and people with centimeter precision in 3D and record their movement, acceleration, rotation, and position. The system uses anchors as receivers and reference points and is therefore not dependent on GPS. The sensors can also communicate bidirectionally with objects via various interfaces, for example Bluetooth Low Energy. The associated local edge platform Kinexon RIoT (Realtime IoT) evaluates the data in real time and visualizes it on mobile devices. As an open platform, it also processes data from external systems. Kinexon will be represented at the Hanover Messe 2018 as a partner at the Bitkom booth D30 in Hall 6 .
The Kinexon solution is suitable for a wide range of applications, from asset tracking, free navigation of AGVs (automated guided vehicles), to locating forklift trucks. These can also communicate with objects via the sensors and, for example, record the status of packages on pallets, which in turn are currently being made intelligent by the Fraunhofer IML and the Dutch startup Ahrma .
