Under the auspices of the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (IPA) , SeRoNet is launching the robot.one market- and development platform for components and solutions in service robotics. The project calls upon suppliers of widely applicable software components for service robots and automation solutions to adapt their products for the technical framework of SeRoNet and/or robot.one and to publish them on the platform. Examples of possible components are rail and gripper planning, navigation solutions, or components for environmental perception.
Companies that try out new methods of software and system composition and want to have their components among the first on the new market platform have until April 2020 to apply over the course of several rounds via the German Awards Portal . Development orders up to €50,000 will be advertised. The call for bids is predominantly aimed at manufacturers of software components, but also applies to hardware manufacturers who want to place drivers for their hardware on the platform.
