"This year's results exceeded our expectations. SNIEC's 17 halls were completely booked, so that we had to build four additional temporary halls," said by Dr. Jochen Köckler, Chairman of the Managing Board, Deutsche Messe AG. "PTC ASIA, CeMAT ASIA and ComVac ASIA bring together manufacturers from all over the world to explore the latest business opportunities in one of the world's biggest markets. Without a doubt, our events in Shanghai represent Asia's leading trade event for industrial technology."
With the lead theme "Driven to be Smart", PTC ASIA featured 1,700 exhibiting companies from Asia, Europe and North America. In addition to presenting products and technologies in the areas of electrical and mechanical drives, fluid technology, ball bearings, and motors and engines, companies demonstrated their contributions to the digitalization of industry. Well-known exhibitors included Argo-Hytos, Atos, Bonfiglioli, Hansa-Flex, Hawe, Hydac, Kawasaki, Schaeffler, SEW, SKF, und Trelleborg.
"Magnetbau Schramme is a long-time exhibitor at PTC Asia, but this year's participation was the most successful yet," said Jens Preetz, director of marketing and sales at the German manufacturer of electromagnetic actuators. "Our participation in PTC ASIA helped us generate more than 10,000 contacts at our booth. The show is the perfect place to promote the brand name Schramme to a broad audience in China."
CeMAT ASIA celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2019 with the lead theme "Smart Logistics" and 800 exhibiting companies, among them big names such as ABB, Baoli, Dematic, Fanuc, Honeywell, Linde, SSI Schaefer, and Swisslog. The show covers sectors ranging from mechanical handling, warehousing technology and packaging equipment to traffic engineering, intralogistics systems and loading technology.
Dr. Jens Hardenacke, Global Senior Vice President and Managing Director China, Dematic, said, "This year marked the first time that Kion Group's Linde, Baoli and Dematic brands exhibited together. We had the largest booth at the show, which attracted many customers and helped us further develop our service localization."
ComVac ASIA rounded out the program with 287 exhibiting companies presenting their products and solutions from the compressed air and vacuum technology sectors.
Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai, the joint subsidiary of Deutsche Messe AG and Fiera Milano, organizes PTC ASIA, CeMAT ASIA and ComVac ASIA. The next shows run 3–6 November 2020 in Shanghai.
