Siemens strengthens Brazil’s back
The growing economy in Brazil attracts German industrial companies. Siemens now wants to triple its engagement and contribute to the expansion of local infrastructure. The energy market is particularly interesting.

Siemens plans to increase its investment to 1 billion euros over the next five years. The Brazilian trade and investment promotion agreement Apex-Brasil envisages numerous measures that should give the South American country a strong economic boost. The German industrial enterprise promotes local universities by providing software and special training offers.
Joe Kaeser, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said at the signing with reference to Industry 4.0 technologies: “[With] their commitment to innovation, the Brazilian people can greatly benefit from this opportunity.” Siemens estimates that the number of jobs will grow by around 1.2 million over the next five years. Last year, the Group signed a similar extensive program in Mexico , this year’s partner country of Hannover Messe .
