GETAC laptops and tablets are designed to offer a level of robustness and durability that traditional consumer products simply cannot match. With MIL-STD-810H certifications, hot-swappable batteries, dedicated GPS function and much more, GETAC devices are predestined for use in harsh environments. From a drop from a height of up to 1.8 meters to use in a hazardous environment - the robust end devices ensure that users in factory halls, in the public safety sector and in the field can work with them without any problems. GETAC is now presenting the S410 as a new addition to this team of tough computers. With its ergonomic rugged design, the S410 is said to offer an optimal balance between size, weight and performance, ideal for mobile computing in harsh environments.

Robustness does not exclude sustainability

The S410 also reflects GETAC's commitment to environmental responsibility. More than 24 percent of the casing is made from PCR (post-consumer recycled material). According to the manufacturer, this reduces energy consumption, carbon emissions and the resources required in the supply chain compared to non-recycled materials. Robustness and build quality should not suffer as a result of this measure, as the S410 is also MIL-STD-810H and IP53 certified and can withstand drops from a height of 0.9 meters. And it offers all the other functions that GETAC customers expect - while at the same time helping to meet the company's own sustainability commitments.

Computing at the next level

Companies in the digital transformation need mobile computing power for their applications, and not just in the future. Whether it's cloud AI, digital twins, drone navigation or dynamic processes. With its 13th generation Intel Core CPU, Intel Iris Xe graphics card and DDR5 RAM memory, the S410 can handle multiple data-intensive computing tasks at the same time. The user-removable PCIe NVMe solid-state drives (SSD) can also load, store and transfer data on a large scale at impressively high speeds.

Smart on the move

GETAC describes the S410 as a mobile-first solution. The standard WLAN 6E and optional 4G LTE and 5G Sub 6 functions enable cloud, edge and live streaming wherever the user happens to be. An integrated 5 MP webcam provides a sharp and detailed image for video chats and remote guidance. The outstanding 14-inch screen with up to 1,000 nits luminance guarantees good visibility in daylight outdoors or in vehicles. The implemented Bluetooth 5.3 also enables smooth IoT connectivity in high-density device environments. An optional third battery provides additional power and operational readiness.

Secure and configurable

According to GETAC, the S410 also offers improved data security and configurability for use in military, public safety, manufacturing or utility applications. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is supported by a capacitive fingerprint reader, Windows Hello facial recognition, a smart card reader and an HF RFID reader. TPM 2.0 and a removable data memory further increase security. Configuration options include a laser barcode reader, DVD/Blu-ray super multi drive, second storage drive and the third battery mentioned above.

Ready for use in vehicles

The S410 also supports third-party vehicle docks for in-vehicle applications. It offers the user a robust solution with flexible connectivity options and RF passthrough for real-time access to databases via the vehicle antenna.
