With its PROLAG®Go picking app, the logistics software specialists from CIM turn data glasses into a voice-controlled augmented reality solution for warehouse operations. Thanks to the new concept, users have both hands free at all times, since they can control the app using voice commands, while their data glasses constantly display up-to-date information in real time in their field of vision. The glasses leverage the pick-by-vision solution from the PROLAG®World warehouse management suite. Employees can see the location, quantity, and type of goods to be picked, receive a notification in the event of a picking error, and work more accurately, since pictures of the items in question are projected in their field of vision.

In modern industry, augmented reality and voice control is an increasingly popular combination: For instance, Baden-Württemberg-based intralogistics company Hänel already offers a picking solution for controlling storage carousels that communicates with popular ERP systems via a SOAP interface and is used by companies such as MAN Energy Solutions .
