Smart Monitoring via Radio
Precise measurements via WiFi, large memory, integrated battery, and standard-compliant data management—the new Rotronic RMS WiFi data logger, manufactured and distributed by PST, among others, is designed to bridge the gap between the worlds of measurement and networking.

With the Rotronic RMS WiFi data loggers, Rotronic is setting a new standard in wireless environmental and process monitoring. The devices are the latest addition to the proven Rotronic Monitoring System (RMS) and combine precise sensor technology with modern WiFi communication, robust construction, and comprehensive standard compliance, making them ideal for the pharmaceutical, food, laboratory, and clean room sectors.
At their core, RMS WiFi data loggers are portable measuring devices that can record important parameters such as temperature, humidity, differential pressure, and even CO2—depending on the connected probe, either via analog NTC temperature sensors or digital RMS sensors. With their large display and wireless WiFi connection (IEEE 802.11b/g/n), measuring points can be operated flexibly wherever conventional cabling would be impractical – for example, in laboratories, clean rooms, cold chains, or storage areas.
A particularly practical feature is the easy integration into existing WiFi networks without additional infrastructure. Unlike earlier wireless variants with proprietary frequencies, this solution does not require any additional gateways, which significantly simplifies installation and configuration. In the event that the WiFi connection is temporarily interrupted, the loggers have an internal memory with a capacity for up to 44,000 measurement pairs and an internal battery that ensures continuous data acquisition even during network interruptions.
The loggers are technically designed for measurement intervals ranging from seconds to minutes. They support secure data transmission via HTTPS protocol. In conjunction with Rotronic RMS software, the RMS app, or cloud-based RMS services, data can be clearly visualized, exported, and archived for the long term. The software can also be used to define alarms that are triggered by email or directly in the system when limit values are exceeded – a must, for example, in pharmaceutical production or warehouse monitoring.
Another advantage of the RMS WiFi data loggers is their compliance with high regulatory standards: Among other things, they comply with FDA CFR 21 Part 11 and GAMP 5 requirements, which creates confidence in data integrity, especially in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, medical technology, and food production.
RMS WiFi data loggers thus offer users a modern, flexible, and secure solution for wireless monitoring in demanding environments. As a supplier, PST supports the selection, integration, and ongoing operation of the devices—from planning and commissioning to data analysis. For anyone who values precise measurement data, simple networking, and standard-compliant documentation, these loggers are a future-proof addition to their monitoring system.
