ZF Friedrichshafen is one of the world's leading developers and suppliers of driveline and chassis technology as well as active and passive safety technology. The company has a global workforce of 146,000 spread across some 230 locations worldwide, generating sales of 36.4 billion euros in 2017. As digitization progresses, ZF is helping more and more vehicles "see, think and act". Every year, the company invests more than six percent of its revenue into research and development with the aim of providing efficient, electric drive systems and creating a world without accidents. At Hannover Messe 2019, ZF is demonstrating how companies can link smart solutions together to achieve seamlessly networked supply chains.

"If you want to optimize logistics in a sustainable manner, you have to take the entire supply chain into consideration. This starts with production, includes internal and external delivery processes, and reaches through to the end customer," says Wilhelm Rehm, the member of the ZF Friedrichshafen AG Board of Management responsible for Commercial Vehicle and Industrial Technology. "We at ZF are ideally positioned in all areas of mobility thanks to our comprehensive systems competence, which enables us to offer smart solutions for each step of a comprehensively interconnected supply chain." ZF is in Hannover to show trade fair visitors what these connected supply chains can look like, while also pursuing its goal of emission-free logistics - guiding visitors through the lifecycle of the electric axle drive system that an international premium car manufacturer is putting into series production this year. The exhibit's starting point is the Group's newly developed test bench for electric drives.
