Under the motto "Robust industrial switching devices combined with smart wireless technology", steute Technologies will be presenting wireless switching devices for industrial applications at HANNOVER MESSE 2024 that have been developed from the ground up for this purpose. This applies both to the "hardware" of the switching devices and sensors and to the radio system - and the East Westphalian company sees this as a crucial criterion. This is because industrial applications are subject to radiation and interference from other radio signals, and the requirements in terms of availability and transmission speed are often very high. In addition, the demands on the mechanical properties and service life require a very robust design that is adapted to the operating conditions.

With its range of industrial-grade wireless switching devices, steute considers these requirements to be fulfilled. The basis is formed by switchgear and sensors which are characterized by reliable function and a long service life even under harsh and extreme environmental conditions. They are made "wireless-capable" by integrated or separate wireless modules, which communicate with the associated evaluation unit via the sWave wireless system also developed by steute. The steute range of industrial wireless switching devices includes several series of electromechanical position switches as well as foot switches, non-contact inductive sensors and optical sensors. The sWave-supported wireless technology has already proven itself in many industrial applications. Sascha Elsner, Product Manager Wireless Applications at steute Technologies: "Wherever cable connections are not feasible or lead to damage or wear, our wireless products can act as 'problem solvers'. Whether used on machine tools, robots or in other areas of mechanical engineering - our wireless switching devices enable quick installation and can be operated without interference in industrial environments."

According to steute, the sWave system thus demonstrates exactly what the special show at HANNOVER MESSE conveys as its core message: Radio-based communication is a real added value in industry and a good example of the implementation of industrial wireless applications.
