Many start-ups are driven by the idea of turning their own ideas into reality and thus making them accessible to the general public. They are firmly convinced that this is exactly what the world has been missing. What is really lacking, however, is the experience and knowledge to bring the idea to the market in a sustainable way. This is exactly where the start-up service at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg (OVGU) wants to lend a helping hand. The results of these efforts can be admired at HANNOVER MESSE 2023, where the OVGU's Transfer and Start-up Centre will be presenting some of its success stories, such as the start-up Intelligent Firefighting Solutions IFS with its FoamGiant, an innovative foam cannon for firefighting and cleaning.
FoamGiant is a hand-held foam cannon that is designed to produce unprecedented foam in a very compact design. The basis for this is the revolutionary Hydro-Jet-Turbo functional principle (patent pending), which for the first time uses the effect of a turbocharger to generate foam. This results in significantly more efficient firefighting by foaming an area ten times faster with comparable water consumption. In addition, FoamGiant makes a sustainable contribution to the environment by significantly reducing fire damage and saving a considerable amount of water and foam concentrate. The developers see an additional field of application in professional high-pressure cleaning technology. There, FoamGiant should enable faster and more resource-saving foaming of large surfaces.
