Exhibitors & Products

The Hessian company Pfeiffer Vacuum is a leading global provider of vacuum solutions. In addition to a complete range of hybrid and magnetically levitated turbopumps, the product portfolio includes backing pumps, measuring and analysis devices, vacuum chambers and systems as well as leak detection solutions. Since the invention of the turbopump by Pfeiffer Vacuum, the Hessian company has stood for clever solutions and high-tech products in the analytical, industrial, research & development, coating and semiconductor markets. As part of the Technical Forum Hydrogen + Fuel Cells EUROPE at HANNOVER MESSE 2024, Pfeifer Vacuum now presented special vacuum and leak detection solutions for the hydrogen industry.

Universal leak detector

The ASM 340 is a versatile leak detector for hydrogen and helium. It enables both the qualitative localization of leaks as well as quantitative integral or local testing. The ASM 340 has a powerful vacuum system that ensures rapid operational readiness. It is also characterized by a fast response time due to its high helium pumping speed. These features result in short cycle times and a high parts throughput. According to its developers, the ASM 340 is the only leak detector in its class capable of localizing leaks at pressures below 100 millibars. The focus here is on leak testing fuel cell stacks, hydrogen tanks and integrated hydrogen circuits.

Mobile leak test module

Pfeiffer Vacuum also presented a mobile leak test module in Hanover as a modular solution for leak testing. With an individual configuration of components, the module allows versatile leak tests with the test gases helium and hydrogen/forming gas. With the option of automation, it is suitable for efficient and reliable testing in advance development through to small series production. Pfeiffer Vacuum also offers a special leak test module for leak testing mono or bipolar plates. This can be seamlessly integrated into existing production lines. With its multi-patented design and process, the module enables short cycle times, which supports efficient production.
