Stable bridge axes thanks to closed aluminum profiles
Bridge axes from HIWIN move the heaviest loads. Closed aluminum profiles ensure high torsional rigidity.

Bridge axes are designed to move heavy loads without complaint. The HB bridge axes from HIWIN, the linear technology specialist, are now equipped with a specially designed closed and reinforced extruded aluminum profile. The linear module, which is particularly resistant to bending and torsion as a result, is said to be particularly suitable for the continuous movement of large masses where the highest demands are placed on dynamics.
Depending on the application, the HIWIN heavy-duty axes can be configured with three different types of drive – with toothed belt, linear motor and rack and pinion drives. With a payload of up to 350 kilograms – and ten times higher torsional rigidity compared to the HIWIN table axes – even the heaviest loads can be moved over long distances without the need for any additional supports. Whether for the fast handling and accurate positioning of large automotive components, large-format wood and glass components, or for the dynamic and repeatable high-performance assembly of battery modules, in the packaging industry or in linking and loading systems – countless heavy-duty applications can be realized with the robust axes.
The linear modules can be configured with a stroke that can be freely selected in millimetre steps over a total length of up to five metres, with a limit switch or encoder system. In individual cases, overlengths of up to 16 metres can also be specified. The HIWIN motion specialists provide support in combining the drive versions and also in creating complete motion systems with motor adapters, motors and controllers.
