The M23 power connectors now presented by Stuttgart-based cable and connection technology specialist LAPP are designed to withstand the high voltages and currents required for servo drives. In addition, their integrated EMC cable gland provides protection against electromagnetic interference. "With our new M23 inserts and M23 housings, we now offer our customers a well thought-out concept for plenty of power," emphasizes Joachim Strobel, Product Manager at LAPP.

The EPIC POWER M23 D6 connector housing is available individually or with a matching insert. It is particularly powerful despite its space-saving size and is therefore also suitable for very small devices. The housing made of sturdy die-cast zinc can be used with inserts for both female and male contacts. Typical areas of application are electric motors and servo drives that are used in environments where electromagnetic compatibility is required. However, if time is the decisive factor, it is better to use the EPIC POWER M23 D6 TWIST. This TWIST mechanism enables particularly fast locking with the counterpart. The secure connection to the TWIST counterpart of the EPIC POWER M23 series is established after just a quarter of a turn. Finally, LAPP has introduced the EPIC POWER M23 F6 TWIST as the third new M23 circular connector housing. This is also available individually or with an insert, as well as with an insert for female and male contacts. The F6 TWIST coupling plug for use with D6 cable connectors is, like the other two housings, powerful up to 26 amps and is said to be ideal for assembly with servo cables.

Also new are the high-performance M23 circular connector inserts EPIC POWER M23 Inserts for individual assembly with socket or pin contacts as well as with PE crimp contact for the production of an EPIC POWER M23 circular connector. The M23 circular connector insert is available with different pole patterns for up to seven working contacts and one PE contact (protective contact). As an assembled M23 circular connector, it is suitable for applications with high voltages and currents, for example for servo drives. The inserts for socket contacts and inserts for pin contacts fit equally well in D6 and F6 housings and can be interchanged as required.
