The Academy of the FKFS Research Institute for Automotive Engineering and Vehicle Engines in Stuttgart offers further education programs for engineers, specialists and managers in the automotive industry. The practical courses are conducted by experienced lecturers in English and provide graduates with important knowledge and skills to help them successfully realize their professional ambitions. The FKFS currently offers the following courses for 2025:

July 14–16, 2025: “Electrification of Mobility” – this comprehensive, two-and-a-half-day course covers the fundamentals of e-mobility, including electric drives, energy storage systems, xEV architectures and energy management. Led by Prof. Rizzoni, a pioneer in the field of e-mobility with more than 30 years of experience, this course is particularly aimed at automotive engineers who want to gain practical insights into electrification technology and are looking for training with a practical focus.

July 16-17, 2025 “Hydrogen for Mobility” – this one-and-a-half-day course provides in-depth knowledge of hydrogen technology for mobility. It covers production, transport, storage and applications for FCEVs and hydrogen-powered ICEVs. Led by experts from the University of Stuttgart and FKFS, this program equips engineers to meet the challenges and opportunities of hydrogen mobility, with a focus on real-world applications and sustainability.

July 23-25, 2025 “Vehicle Aerodynamics and Aeroacoustics” – this hands-on course, which includes wind tunnel training and state-of-the-art measurement techniques, teaches the fundamentals of vehicle aerodynamics and aeroacoustics. Led by industry experts, participants learn skills to optimize vehicle performance, reduce noise and improve design through theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
