Suitable answers to asymmetric threats
The year 2025 is already a few weeks old and companies would be well advised to address the latest security challenges now at the latest. The German Cyber Security Organization (DCSO) provides the appropriate answers to the asymmetric threat posed by globally operating, organized cybercrime and state-sponsored industrial espionage.

The DCSO is a company founded by German companies for the German economy, which is intended as a response to the asymmetric threat of globally operating, organized cybercrime and state-directed industrial espionage. The organization brings together companies, authorities and institutions for a unique exchange in a spirit of trust. Based on the shared experiences and expertise of its own experts, the DCSO develops state-of-the-art services for effective and efficient cyber defense, from which all members should benefit.
The DCSO currently offers four cybersecurity packages that companies can use to protect themselves against current threats.
Package 1: DCSO NIS2 starter workshop
From the beginning of 2025, comprehensive security standards will apply to companies with over 50 employees or a turnover of ten million euros, because the EU's NIS2 directive strengthens cybersecurity in 18 critical sectors by means of binding measures and reporting requirements. The workshop provides a compact introduction to the topic: teaching the NIS2 basics, compliance analysis and individual recommendations for action to prepare companies for the requirements of the directive.
Package 2: The Cyber Health Check
The DCSO Cyber Health Check is designed to provide companies with a comprehensive analysis and assessment of their external attack surfaces. The checks identify sensitive information, compromised identities or IT assets to prevent targeted cyber attacks and maintain data integrity. In addition, DCSO offers an environment review for signs of current or past attacks, enabling mitigation measures.
Package 3: ISO 27001 Certification Readiness Gap Analysis Workshop
As part of a well-structured workshop, DCSO experts assess the ISO 27001 certification readiness of companies, covering industry-specific and general security and compliance requirements. Together with customers, the experts explore possible gaps in existing information security management systems (ISMS). The result: a detailed overview of the action required to meet the certification requirements. Thanks to this gap analysis, companies gain clarity about the effort and measures involved, improve their individual planning and strengthen their information security.
Package 4: Security Technology Evaluation
With the “Security Technology Evaluation” service, DCSO offers comprehensive support in the selection and evaluation of IT security solutions. The organization analyzes market trends, tests products impartially and provides companies with access to expert knowledge and workshops. Based on individual requirements and market conditions, a well-founded recommendation is then made for the most effective and relevant security solution.
