The new research project “InnoLogBat: Innovation Lab for Battery Logistics in E-Mobility” looks not only at the production processes and the end product, but also at the entire cycle. In the circular economy, the raw materials used are both waste-free and emission-free for as long as possible.

The focus of technological developments is on safety in the storage, handling, transport, and reuse of batteries. For example, old batteries could be used in power plants or robots in logistics to store electricity. In addition to new technologies, new approaches to recycling-friendly product design and new business models and logistics concepts are also being developed.
