The 2016 Economic Forum brings key decision makers together to consider ways of developing leading-edge industrial production technology and to discuss the prospects for trans-Atlantic business models and cooperation.

With the Business Forum on 24th April 2016 HANNOVER MESSE and the Federation of German Industries ( BDI ) extends an invitation to the opening event of the Hannover fair. Under the title "The Future of Advanced Manufacturing" Stephan Weil, Premier of the State of Lower Saxony, BDI President Ulrich Grillo, Federal Minister of Education and Research Johanna Wanka and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker will address the issue of the future of industry in their speeches.

Subsequently Satya Nadella, CEO of the Microsoft Corporation, and Joe Kaeser, CEO of Siemens, will share their views on digitization, innovation and current business challenges relating to future value creation. The Business Forum is moderated by Christoph von Marschall from the Berlin newspaper Der Tagesspiegel and Holger Lösch, Member of the BDI's Executive Board.
