According to Flip GmbH, a Stuttgart-based startup, only about 20 percent of all employees perform their work at a desk. In contrast, only about one percent of all software investments are aimed at the 80 percent of non-desk employees. The Swabians have therefore set themselves the task of tackling this disparity.

Out of the critical shadow IT

Flip has recognized that notices, bulletin boards and circulars only seem to defy digitization; employees have long since taken the change into their own hands in many places, for example via WhatsApp chats or through Facebook groups. An employee app developed by Flip is now intended to put an end to this not entirely uncritical shadow IT and put internal communication on a contemporary, entrepreneurially structured footing.

The app that binds and connects operational employees

Since its founding in 2018, Flip's mission has therefore been: Empowering Every Employee! Or in other words, to enable every employee to be heard - regardless of location or language. Flip's employee app offers all the options that make it easier and faster to distribute information and organize, manage, and schedule workflows more efficiently. Chat, newsfeed, duty rosters, time recording and much more thus merge into a digital workplace for everyone without a PC.

For private smartphones and company PCs

As interactive as a social intranet, as simple as a messenger app and as secure as a password safe: on the private smartphone as well as on the company PC. Flip is therefore ideally suited for companies with a high proportion of operational employees. Today, numerous companies such as EDEKA, Porsche, MAHLE or McDonald's are already revolutionizing their internal communication with the Flip employee app. And new well-known customers are being added almost daily.
