The laboratory does the analysis itself
In collaboration with the Berlin-based company Mayato, Siemens Healthineers has developed a predictive service and maintenance solution with which diagnostic laboratories can carry out analyses themselves.28 Oct. 2018 Roland Freist
In future, service calls should be needed only in exceptional cases for diagnostic laboratories that use Atellica Solution from Siemens Healthineers . During the development phase of the system the developers had planned a systematic analysis of the machine data. This is now paying off: Alongside the experts in data analytics and data science from Mayato , Siemens Healthineers developed a solution for automatic predictive maintenance.
The data from various sensors are transmitted to the Siemens Healthineers database via the in-house Smart Remote Service (SRS) and then transmitted to a SAS data analysis platform. This evaluates the data and determines the failure probability. In addition, the software processes the data, visualizes it and makes it available via a web-based frontend. Should any action be required, the system automatically sends an e-mail to the person responsible. Furthermore, the entire laboratory system is continuously monitored and analyzed, using for example key performance indicators (KPIs).
