When developing ADDINOL Eco Gas 4000 XD, the experts at ADDINOL had to meet various manufacturers’ highly complex requirements for lubricants and take into account the very wide variety of application scenarios. This is where their extensive experience really counted, since ADDINOL Lube Oil GmbH, which counts research and development as one of its core activities, has been working closely with leading OEMs for a great many years. Engine technology is developing at breakneck speed, with designers using new materials and even altering the design of pistons and combustion chambers to achieve ever better performance and meet increasingly stringent emissions standards. However, this technical progress usually results in high pressure loads and rising temperatures in engines.

ADDINOL Eco Gas 4000 XD has been designed specifically to meet the tougher demands that are placed on the gas engine oils used in conjunction with clean fuel gases. The new oil exhibits maximum thermal and alkaline stability and is formulated to keep engines extraordinarily clean, effectively reduce deposits and provide optimum wear protection. Preliminary key data from the lab is being backed up by current field tests at MTU Onsite Energy and MWM. Furthermore, field tests have already been completed at MAN and Tedom – and both manufacturers have already given the product the green light.
