OMRON, one of the leading suppliers of industrial automation with the key technologies of sensors, control and artificial intelligence, will present in the main area of its booth at HANNOVER MESSE 2022 a production line that realizes multi-product manufacturing in small quantities in a particularly flexible and efficient way. Controlled via Cell-Line Control System, the line is designed to demonstrate how companies can increase the efficiency of manufacturing processes through the interaction of humans and machines, particularly with the help of mobile and collaborative robots (cobots) that work safely with their human colleagues in assembly, machine maintenance and inspection tasks.
To replicate the expertise and know-how of qualified technicians, OMRON also relies on artificial intelligence that can comparably reliably detect anomalies during production. Throughout the manufacturing process, sensors and automated visual tools support the production line to improve quality and train employees. Errors or skipped steps are detected and reported in real time. This helps support new employees in particular and ensures product quality.
