In 2019, for the fifth successive year, innovative founders and their sustainability solutions will be honored by the founders’ award . The focus is on networking green startups, companies, investors, funding institutions, and political pioneers for a green economy. This year, the award for the green startup community will be presented in four categories: Startup Concepts, Startups, Future Mobility, and Circular Economy. Companies applying to compete must be no older than ten years old and may enter several categories.

The green startup community can participate in a public vote to determine the award winners. In the final pitch in front of a jury of experts, cash and non-cash prizes worth over €60,000 will be up for grabs. The main partners of the award are SDG Investments , InnoEnergy , and the RKW Competence Centre . The award ceremony will take place on November 20, 2019 at the German Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety (BMU) in Berlin.
