There are good reasons to choose analog solutions
The automation specialists at PILZ announce: The proven PNOZ X safety relays are the first to receive confirmation of MVO compliance from TÜV SÜD.

PILZ, a company in the automation technology sector offering complete solutions for safety and control technology with headquarters in Ostfildern, says it is once again setting new standards in machine safety: In November 2025, the Swabian company became the first manufacturer to have its PNOZ X safety switching devices certified by TÜV SÜD as compliant with the requirements of the new Machinery Regulation (MVR) EU 2023/1230. This underscores PILZ’s commitment to offering its customers the highest levels of safety and compliance.
For while we fully recognize the necessity of digitalization, the digital solution is not always the safest. Especially when it comes to security, analog devices sometimes offer clear advantages: even simple organizational measures are sufficient to ensure compliance with the MVO and the CRA (Cyber Resilience Act). If unauthorized access to the control cabinet is prevented and any available adjustment options are sealed, users are on the safe side.
PILZ’s PNOZ X safety relays have long proven themselves through their reliability and robustness. They are used in a wide range of applications and in a variety of safety systems. One PNOZ X is used per safety function. The technical basis consists of potential-free, electromechanical contacts using 2-relay technology. The sizes of the safety relays range from 22.5 to 90 millimeters, and the number of contacts from two to eight.
