With around 500,000 units installed, the Japan-headquartered YASKAWA Group is one of the world's largest manufacturers of industrial robots. In addition to application-specific variants such as welding, palletizing, painting and handling robots, the extensive robot range also offers models for laboratory and cleanroom applications as well as turnkey automated welding systems of the highest quality. With YASKAWA Europe GmbH based in Eschborn, Hesse, the Japanese have also had an extended arm in our latitudes for some time. From here, YASKAWA supplies companies throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa with mechatronics and robotics solutions. And since it's not too far from Eschborn to Lower Saxony, they will of course meet again at HANNOVER MESSE 2022, where YASKAWA will be presenting, among other things, the latest generation of Motoman Smart Series collaborative robots.

Unlike conventional, more complex robot systems, which require extensive training, the Smart Series attracts visitors with simple and intuitive methods for robot programming and operation. With various grippers and other add-ons available through YASKAWAS technology partners, Smart Series robots can also be easily adapted to changing manufacturing environments for continued use. Yet despite this supposed simplification, all models and variants offered retain 100 percent of their industrial functionality. While the Smart Series robots are controlled via YRC1000micro controllers that are as compact as they are powerful, YASKAWA uses the Smart counterpart with the patented Smart Frame function for programming. In this way, the wide range of applications and functions can still be designed to be user-friendly.
