IPH - Institut für Integrierte Produktion Hannover gGmbH was founded in 1988 as a spin-off from Leibniz Universität Hannover and has been researching and developing in the field of production technology ever since. In addition to research and development, IPH offers consulting and training in the fields of process technology, production automation and logistics. Its customers include companies from the tool and mold making, mechanical and plant engineering, aerospace, automotive, electrical and forging industries.

The IPH cobot on show at HANNOVER MESSE 2024 is intended to be an example of how robots can work together with AI to master unpredictable situations - without a human having to reprogram them. This should give small and medium-sized companies in particular the opportunity to maintain or even increase their production in times of a shortage of skilled workers and, in particular, strengthen Germany as a business location.

The cobot presented in Hanover will be able to trace photos in detail. The previously unknown photos are analyzed using AI image recognition and converted into movement instructions for the cobot. The combination of robotics and AI image recognition can be implemented in various production areas in the future, for example in welding. The robot could automatically analyze a joint to be welded and then independently calculate and execute the necessary movements.

At the trade fair stand, IPH employees will also be providing information on numerous other AI applications - from AI-based sales planning and automated order checking to AI-based analysis of medical data.
