The Austrian startup MXR Tactics specializes in the development of AR and XR applications in the areas of training, inspection and monitoring. The Kufstein-based company's approach is based on the integration of a high-end AR platform, the Microsoft HoloLens 2 and a tracking system developed in-house. Thanks to the tracking tool, for example, work tools such as scalpels, torque wrenches, pens or replica weapons can be integrated in the security and gaming sector for exercises. This solution enables highly efficient, cost-neutral, unlimited, repeatable and location-independent training of fictitious scenarios as well as training on machines. Based on this technology, the Austrians have now founded another startup to drive forward the development of a special tracking tool. The young company MXR Technology will celebrate its premiere at HANNOVER MESSE 2022.

The new versatile MXR tracking tool, in the form of a stylus, is designed to save costs and time in education and training scenarios. MXR technology creates a modular bi-directional tracking system that docks with real tools. The stylus covers a whole range of possibilities, including the precise measurement of rooms, objects and distances, either in the immediate environment or in VR rooms. It can also be used to leave comments in 3D to improve collaboration and efficiency. Further options are provided by interaction, moving, rotating, cutting or resizing virtual content in real time. The stylus also proves its capabilities in CAD, animating moving parts or checking designs.
