With Nuovamacut Automazione S.p.A., Bechtle has now acquired the largest partner for Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS in the Mediterranean region. Founded in 1955, the company is headquartered in Bologna, Italy, and has seven other locations in Milan, Turin, Brescia, Padua, Vado Ligure, Pesaro and Rome, thus covering Italy's strongest economic regions. Nuovamacut employs 149 people and generated sales of over £5.5 million in the past financial year. The CAD and PLM specialist is the market leader in Italy and counts around 5,000 mainly medium-sized companies from the manufacturing industry among its customers. In addition to its many years of experience in the market, the company has been awarded the outstanding CPE Platinum certification level for the entire Dassault Systèmes portfolio. As the only Italian Tier 1 partner for SOLIDWORKS, Nuovamacut ranks among the top 3 in Europe and the top 10 worldwide. With a comprehensive range of end-to-end solutions for 3D design, simulation, documentation, manufacturing and PLM automation, the company helps its customers to make development processes more efficient, streamline workflows and significantly accelerate the market launch of new products. Bechtle is acquiring the company from the Italian software group TeamSystem. Nuovamacut's experienced management team will remain on board under the leadership of Sauro Lamberti.

"This acquisition significantly strengthens our position in the European PLM business. We are proud to have gained such a highly trained and experienced team with its stable customer relationships for Bechtle PLM. We see a wide range of synergies within the Bechtle Group and are strengthening our partnerships, particularly with Dassault Systèmes and, in the field of 3D printing, with HP," says Uwe Burk, Executive Vice President PLM, Engineering & Manufacturing at Bechtle. One of the key synergies is the certification as a Customer Process Experience (CPE) Platinum Partner of Dassault Systèmes. In addition to its market-leading expertise in SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD solutions, Nuovamacut also has comprehensive and in-depth experience with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and its applications CATIA, SIMULIA, DELMIA and ENOVIA. The close integration of design and production shortens development times, reduces costs and accelerates innovation cycles – advantages that are of strategic importance, particularly for the aerospace, automotive and other material-intensive industries.

"We are delighted to be entering the next phase of growth together with Bechtle. Together, we offer a strong portfolio and a unique network of expertise that will strengthen our customers' position in the international market in the long term. We are highly motivated to actively shape the future of our market," says Sauro Lamberti, CEO and employee of Nuovamacut for almost 25 years in various positions. As of today, however, the acquisition is still subject to regulatory approval.
