Trend for mobile applications
“Mobile or not at all” – one in twelve candidates only apply to companies if they can do so on their mobile device. This is the finding of the “Recruiting Trends 2019” survey from job portal Monster.

Applicants are a step ahead of companies when it comes to mobile recruiting. According to the survey , recruitment managers in 84.6% of the top thousand companies believe that mobile recruiting is going to be increasingly important in the future. The ‘future’ could, though, come too late, since candidates are already predominately showing a preference for mobile applications. Almost 8% do not even bother to apply for a job if they are not able to submit their application on their mobile device.
Given the current shortage of skilled workers, recruiting and associated issues are of vital importance for companies. As the survey shows, more candidates have high expectations of employers than in the past. The fact that employers also have high expectations of them deters very few candidates, on the contrary: The survey found that, with a score of 76.1%, being insufficiently challenged was one of the main reasons why employees look for a new job.
