Since its foundation in 2006, balticFuelCells GmbH has focused on the development and production of fuel cells and fuel cell components. Development is usually carried out in close cooperation with R&D institutions, such as the Fraunhofer Institutes. The focus here is always on the specific application and economic feasibility. The company's now extensive in-house expertise enables the north Germans to develop everything from individual internal cell components to complex complete systems.

That fuel cells are not only suitable for powering vehicles the size of a car or larger is demonstrated by balticFuelCells with a series of liquid-cooled fuel cell stacks that deliver an electrical output of 300 or 400 watts in the latest stage of development. The integrated liquid cooling enables heat extraction and utilization, and the stack does not require any external humidification of the media. In addition, essential peripheral components are already integrated in the end plates. All this enables the quick assembly of a complete system with small dimensions. The stack was specially designed for light electric vehicles (e.g. pedelecs and cargo bikes), but with the FC Stack LC XX.30 LEV, balticFuelCells also offers system integrators a product that is ready for series production. Optional equipment is also available for the stack, including all the necessary sensors and actuators, as well as an electronic control system for the entire system.
