Innominate increases network security effectiveness with virtual appliances
Share
The comprehensive networking of every process involved in manufacturing for integrated industry is producing the desired positive effects, but also leading to new challenges with regard to network security. Because embedded hardware often does not have enough capacity to perform additional tasks, virtual appliances can offer the advantages of isolated resources for applications and network security, while lowering costs thanks to shared use of the hardware. Innominate Security Technologies is presenting its innovative product for the first time at HANNOVER MESSE 2014.
The physical counterparts developed and manufactured in Germany, mGuard Security Appliances, are already leaders in the field of industrial cybersecurity and used daily around the world in thousands of plants and machines. Now Innominate offers this proven mGuard technology as a virtual appliance in the integrated TenAsys embedded virtualization manager (eVM) for Windows. Embedded computers can thus be equipped with a full-fledged security appliance via a simple software installation. The only requirement is hardware with a dual-core processor and support for Intel Virtualization Technology VT VT-x and VT-d.
