As in the previous three years, the Herborn-based system specialist Rittal is once again one of the most innovative SMEs in Germany in 2025. As part of a competition, the Hessian company was awarded the prestigious "Top 100" seal - and, according to its own statement, is thus sending a strong signal for the sustainable innovative strength of the Friedhelm Loh Group's largest company.
"Innovation means acting instead of reacting. It means actively shaping the future instead of hoping that nothing will change," explains innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke. Under his scientific direction, the Top 100 competition examined the innovation performance of medium-sized companies for the 32nd time - based on more than 100 criteria in five categories. Rittal particularly impressed the jury in the "Innovative Processes & Organization" category.
For years, Rittal has been demonstrating how useful innovation can enable sustainable growth. Together with its sister companies Eplan and Rittal Automation Systems (RAS), the Group is accelerating industrial automation, driving digitalization and increasing efficiency - increasingly with AI as an additional innovation booster.
"Our solutions speed up work processes, reduce resource consumption and thus ensure the competitiveness of our customers worldwide," explains Ulrich Engenhardt, Chief Business Units Officer at Rittal. "The Top 100 seal confirms once again that we are on the right track with courage, digital intelligence and customer proximity."
