This signing marks a crucial step in strengthening a shared Franco-German vision: Building a sovereign, innovative, and competitive Europe in artificial intelligence. It was supported by the initiative of the German Minister for Digital Economy and Society, Dr. Karsten Wildberger.

This new agreement includes:

  • coordinated representation in support of a sovereign and responsible European AI,
  • the joint development of strategic cross-border projects,
  • strengthened support for AI startups in France and Germany,
  • a common position on regulatory developments,
  • structural bridges between the two national ecosystems.
  • Working together for European digital sovereignty

In parallel with this agreement, Hub France IA also co-signed the opinion piece by L'Equipe de France du Numérique & numeum: “European digital sovereignty: observations are no longer enough, we must take action,” as well as the opinion piece published by France Digitale, which addresses the same issues.

These initiatives reflect a shared conviction: Europe will move forward through collective action. Joining forces—associations, institutions, and tech players—to advocate for structuring choices that serve European competitiveness.

Still committed to European regulatory projects Hub France IA is also continuing its work alongside other European countries on AI public policies. Thanks to the involvement of the EAIF (European AI Forum) in monitoring the publication of the Digital Omnibus on AI, presented by the European Commission to facilitate a simplified implementation of the AI Act and support businesses. Together, let's build a sovereign, ambitious, and innovative digital Europe!
